Ridgemark Tennis Club News
April 2022
Promoting tennis in our community is important, please feel free to send this news to prospective members to inform them of what is happening at Ridgemark Tennis Club.
We continue to add new members and the level of play continues to diversify. Our web page continues to increase see an increase in hits as we have placed our banners around the Hollister Area. We are beginning to reach the new influx of homeowners and putting the Ridgemark Tennis Club on the map.
Despite the lack of USTA league we have made sure that our members have still been able to get out on the courts and exercise. Our intraclub tournaments will continued thorughout 2022. Last years’ Spring Fling 8 Pro set Mixed competition was quite a success. Congratulations to Bill Parcel and Tina Clark in taking home their respected individual titles. Thank you to all the members that participated and making that tournament a success. Look to the near future to have another tournament in the coming months.
Some facility updates to note, we finally have been able to get the lights around the bathrooms to function at night. Great Job Graham on working with the newer management to make that happen. Our main gate has been repaired, so please make sure it is closing behind you. Please refrain from holding the gate open as it may damage the piston used to close the gate.
As the weather is getting warmer, stay hydrated and make sure you have the sunscreen available when you head out to the courts. Nothing like a good burn to ruin a great day playing.
The current Board members are Graham Mackie, Tina Clark, Johan Moser, Roni Culler, Luz Bachofer, Kathy Tiffany, and Lu Chunsheng. The Ridgemark Tennis Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 to discuss issues, plan socials, and schedule occasional work days as needed.
